Imaging of Bowel Obstruction

Abstract

Small bowel obstruction is the most common disorder of the small bowel which requires hospital admission and surgical intervention. Small bowel obstruction leads to progressive increase in the intraluminal pressure which can exceed the venous pressure and result in bowel ischemia.
