Abstract

User preferences have been incorporated in both traditional databases and ontology-based query answering mechanisms for some time now. The recent change in the way data is created and consumed in the Social Semantic Web has caused this aspect of query answering to receive more attention, since users play a central role in both knowledge engineering and knowledge consumption.
