Abstract
Hemangiomas are the most common benign tumors found within the spleen, which can be detected incidentally on PET/MR imaging. They have characteristic MRI findings and no abnormal FDG activity on the PET component. Malignant splenic tumors will demonstrate focal or diffuse abnormal FDG uptake along with morphological MR changes.
