Internal mammary lymph node metastasis from breast cancer is important to detect as it upstages the patient and requires adjustment of the radiotherapy field. PET/MR imaging can help determine if there is malignant lymph node involvement through the combination of morphological MRI characteristics and determination of metabolic activity.
