Abstract

A 37-year-old woman developed paresthesias in her hands and feet, followed by progressive weakness in her hands and legs. She became so weak that she was unable to get up and stand, even for a few minutes. Soon thereafter, she needed help for most activities of daily living. Although she was not treated, her weakness began to improve spontaneously after 3–4 weeks.
