Abstract
The original description of Ixodes kaiseri by Arthur (1957) and the redescription by Filippova and Uspenskaya (1973) provide information on the taxonomic status of the species in relation to Ixodes crenulatus, which was erroneously synonymized under Ixodes kaiseri by Sonenshine et al. (Acarologia 11:193–206, 1969).
