Abstract
The idea of publishing your research should be an exciting prospect. Regardless of your position or stature, it is an extremely rewarding and self-enriching achievement for any scientist. You are making your own little of history, and you are contributing information that is truly novel, the value of which has been critically assessed by experts in your field. This information will be accessible to anyone in the world from now until the end of time! Although the process can be quite arduous and frustrating at times, the above passage hopefully provides you with the desire and motivation to publish your research. By doing so, you join the selected group of individuals who have furthered science for the greater good. In this chapter we will guide you through the process of publishing your research. All the way from choosing the right journal to the day your own little bit of history goes live and your manuscript is published in the scientific literature.
