Abstract
Physicians practicing in the community setting face unique challenges in developing and maintaining point of care ultrasound programs. This chapter focuses on recognizing these challenges such as getting leadership commitment, purchasing equipment, and training practicing physicians. The chapter discusses strategies to overcome these obstacles including workflow, credentialing, and following guidelines to create an effective community ultrasound program.
