What is NCLT? What is it that makes it important? What makes it unique? And lastly, how do I practice NCLT? These are the questions which we are trying to answer with the current publication. We believe that it is the means to making therapy relevant and empirically valid. It is a foundational marriage between neuroscience and clinical therapy. And it focuses on mental health rather than mental illness. It deconstructs diagnoses and reframes what the therapeutic focus should be, respecting and integrating from a life span perspective, what a person brings to therapy in terms of their neurophysiology and behavioral history.
