Abstract

Following the gentle voice of my GPS navigator, I turn off the highway onto the narrow, winding streets to the edge of New Bedford’s historic downtown. Retrieving a camera and clipboard from my car, I feed the meter and set off to explore Herman Melville’s old stomping grounds.
