Abstract
Tongue-type calcaneus fractures present a challenge to orthopedic surgeons. Due to the potential for soft-tissue compromise these injuries can be a true orthopedic emergency. Percutaneous and open reduction techniques can aid in treating this injury. Along with the reduction techniques there is a variety of fixation methods to help stabilize this fracture pattern.
