Abstract

The advanced synthesis of a worm gear in real production should involve not only its geometrical and strength analysis according to the assigned performance characteristics. It must also provide compensation of inevitable manufacture errors, power and temperature deformations by localization of the bearing contact at the assigned area of the tooth flank. This paper considers the methods of solving this problem for both high-loaded worm gears and gearboxes of metallurgical equipment and precision gears of metal-cutting machine-tools.
