Diagnosis and Screening in Colorectal Cancer

Chapter

Abstract

Colorectal cancer is the third most common cancer among men and women. It is a major clinical problem worldwide, considering a high number of positive-diagnosed patients and death rate among them. Moreover, statistics show an increasing number of young patients diagnosed with CRC every year. Here we discuss why screening tests are so important in colorectal cancer and what techniques are used to detect early-stage carcinomas.
