Abstract
The difference of Gaussian model predicts that the retinal computation reduces the spatial correlation of the natural images by attenuating the range of low spatial frequencies. However, our cognitive system is able to discriminate two images with the same high frequency information but different low frequency content. This study is focused on answering how the visual system could restore from the retinal output those original information.
