Abstract

At present electronic education, the so-called eLearning, is quite widespread at all levels of educational institutions. There are many modalities of eLearning and web-based instruction is one of them. Therefore the purpose of this article is to discuss a procedure and pedagogical principles imposed on the development of any web-based application and technologies used in the creation of such web application. In addition, the authors of this article provide a specific example of the development of one smart web application which was designed for its use in the first grade of one basic school in the Czech Republic. The authors emphasize its benefits and list several improvements for its future use.
