Abstract
This paper discusses some issues of e-learning, namely the problems of adaptations of learning materials to the individual opportunities and needs of students. The standardized content of e-learning doesn’t take into account individual features of student’s cognitive activity. It results in low motivation to study and poor progress. In this paper we describe an experimental research of hybrid text perception with the help of eye tracking technology. During the experiment we got data about behavior and emotions of students when completing learning tasks. A hybrid learning text consists of verbal text and several pictures. We believe that the visual component of a hybrid text influences efficiency of text perception because it may arouse different emotions: negative or positive.
