Abstract

The Standard Model is a quantum field theory which describes with extreme accuracy the physical processes of subatomic particles through the strong, weak and electromagnetic interactions. The discovery of the Higgs boson in 2012 at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) represented the last and most compelling proof of its validity.
