  • First Online:
Naval Modernisation in Southeast Asia

Abstract

In this concluding, the editors review the causes, process and possible consequences of naval development in Southeast Asia. They seek to set this against the broader strategic environment in the Western Pacific and to compare the experience of these small–medium powers with that of China and the United States and to review its wider consequences for the Asia-Pacific region.
