Abstract

Nowadays, an ever-increasing number of companies have violated environmental rules. In this case, the environmental forensic expert figure plays a fundamental and decision-making role, using investigative methods and technologies, beforehand applied only in industrial or military courts. Although science and technology are making giant strides in this context, the success of a forensic environmental investigation still depends on the level of know-how of the expert.
