Abstract

Aquatic toxicology is the qualitative and quantitative study of the adverse or toxic effects of chemicals on aquatic organisms (Rand and Petrocoelli 1989). It is often necessary to draw a conclusion regarding the levels and action of various toxicants against species on their tolerance capacity. Studies on reproduction, survival, and development during early and later stages seem to be highly significant in pollution study (Bengston 1974).
