Abstract
Brachial plexus injuries can be devastating as they affect a patient’s ability to perform activities of daily living and earn a livelihood. War injuries to the brachial plexus are especially challenging since they comprise multiple mechanisms including penetrating, traction, and thermal injuries. Treatment of war wounds to the brachial plexus should be undertaken in a systematic and timely manner to minimize functional deficit. This chapter outlines the treatment of war-inflicted brachial plexus injuries.
