Abstract

The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) was born in the 1950s as an inclusive service for everyone. However, some groups, minorities and social communities have remained in the background of the broadcasters’ programmatic offering until the beginning of the third millennium. In the last few years, this situation seems to have changed thanks to new agreements and treaties. For this reason, this research tries to observe which types and how many varieties have been considered by the public service broadcasters in the official reports from 2013, 2014 and 2015. Moreover, particular attention has been given to accessibility measures for people with visual or auditory functional diversity that each of the broadcasting entities have adopted.
