Abstract

Organizations are constantly changing due to the evolution of technologies, requiring them to restructure their strategies. On this case, local autarchies are not an exception. Due to the big data volume involved within the government ecosystem, Business Intelligence (BI) systems were implemented to deal with several processes where effective and efficient decisions are crucial. These systems have proved to be worth on the global government and this article will show how those systems can also be applied to local autarchies, where Business Intelligence can make a positive difference. The multidimensional model created for the local autarchy will be presented, consisting on one fact table and eleven dimensions. This model was created aiming to optimize the autarchy’s decision-making processes, related with the financial department.
