Abstract
As previously described, the aim of radiotherapy is to deliver a high dose of radiation to a tumour whilst minimising the radiation dose delivered to surrounding tissue. Significant developments in conformal techniques mean that it is increasingly possible to plan and deliver irregular dose distributions that meet these conditions.
