Abstract

Research on bullying started in the 1970s, and there are now thousands of studies on its nature, dynamics, correlates, and predictors (Zych et al. 2015). Taking into account the complex nature of the phenomenon and differences in methodologies across the studies, its prevalence is very difficult to compare among contexts and countries. Nevertheless, it can be concluded that bullying is an important and prevalent type of violence that occurs all over the world.
