Abstract
Scaphoid fractures are the most common carpal fracture. A tenuous retrograde blood supply results in propensity for delayed union, particularly after proximal pole fractures. Careful clinical examination and serial radiography may need to be supplemented by advanced imaging for detection. Treatment options include casting versus percutaneous or open surgical fixation [1–5].
