Abstract
Theory of electron momentum spectroscopy in the presence of laser radiation is brought into focus. The potential of this method is illustrated with numerical results for laser-assisted ionization excitation and double ionization of the He atom by electron impact. The perspectives of laser-assisted electron momentum spectroscopy are outlined.
