In the previous chapter we dealt with business, the digital world, digital models and digital business models in order to clarify these concepts and set up an analytical framework to better understand digital business.

In this chapter we are going to discuss whether and how digital business creates economic value (EV). Since we already know about digital business, let’s begin by explaining what EV is.
