Electro-Chemo-Mechanics of Solids

Part of the book series: Electronic Materials: Science & Technology ((EMST))

Abstract

In this chapter, we introduce the exciting field of electro-chemo-mechanics. We highlight examples demonstrating the significant interplay between composition, electrical, and mechanical properties. This chapter also introduces how each of the following chapters in this book addresses aspects of electro-chemo-mechanics.
