Abstract
The use of robotics for performing a right hemicolectomy is increasing. A detailed, step-by-step description of robotic right hemicolectomy is provided, including positioning of equipment and the surgical team, placement of ports, dissection, and intracorporeal and extracorporeal anastomoses. The robotic platform can assist with complete mesocolic excision by providing enhanced visualization, improved retraction, and increased dexterity with wristed instruments.
