This chapter on miscellaneous soft tissue lesions provides a short discussion on chondro-osseous tumors of the soft tissue and gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs). Although chondro-osseous tumors usually originate from the bone, they may rarely involve the soft tissues. GISTs are submucosal mesenchymal tumors involving the gastrointestinal tract that have been included in the latest update of the WHO classification of tumors of soft tissue.
