Abstract
The project management represents an important approach how to manage goal-oriented collaborative activities effectively in the specified constraints as time, costs and quality. The motivation of the presented work was to design a new web-based system to support a project management with some traditional features and some new ones, e.g. a knowledge base. The target group includes small companies dealing with customer’s orders and tasks distribution between the internal and external staff (e.g. a developer, a graphic designer, a SEO analyst), and use the commission system of remuneration. We proposed our solution based on a detailed analysis of the existing competitive solutions through predefined criteria and identified a list of user requirements collected in a close cooperation with potential customers. The result represents a customised web-based system offering an intuitive and user-friendly user interface with a comprehensive list of features from which the implemented knowledge base stands out. We used the user acceptance testing to verify a satisfaction with the implemented solution. The result was more than 93 % user satisfaction, a knowledge base marked as the most used and beneficial function.
