Abstract
The influence of medical conditions on the development and perpetuation of feeding and eating disorders is discussed in this case, with specific elaboration about feeding and eating disorders in patients with diabetes. The impact of online and social media on disordered eating and body image is reviewed. This case also reviews the diagnosis of other specified feeding or eating disorder (OSFED), new to DSM-5, including how to appropriately use this diagnosis in clinical practice.
