Abstract

Mizoram state is bestowed with abundant natural resources—land, water, and forest and spectacular landscape. Climate is feasible throughout the year. Livelihood of people depends on land resources, mainly on farming and forest products. However, the natural resources are largely unused and as a result, the state is economically underdeveloped. This chapter deals with geographical background and livelihood sustainability in Mizoram.
