Abstract
Concept of lean administration is a part of a comprehensive concept of lean company. The purpose of the concept of lean administration is to identify, classify and minimize waste in administrative processes. This paper discusses the following topics: lean administration principles, basic model of lean administration and creating lean administration knowledge base using IF-THEN rules. Case study focuses on process of creating a knowledge base that will support an implementation of lean administration concept. The main tasks of the knowledge base are mainly the following: identification of level of waste in administrative processes and recommendation of appropriate methods and tools of industrial engineering to reduce waste in administrative processes.
The knowledge base for lean administration was created in an expert system NEST and testing was done on the basis of fictitious data about administrative processes.
