Abstract
Urology is associated with pathology of the urogenital tract. It encompasses pathology relating to the kidneys, ureters, bladder, prostate, penis, urethra and testis. Urologists manage a wide variety of conditions ranging from cancers of each of the main organs to trauma and congenital malformations. They also manage benign conditions such as renal stone disease, bladder dysfunction or obstruction, incontinence, sexual dysfunction and problems with infertility. In this chapter we provide an introduction to the core topics of Urology suitable for learning at a medical student level.
