Abstract
Head and neck cancer contains oral, pharyngeal, and laryngeal cancer. In the Western world, they represent 3 % of adult cancers with a 5-year survival rate in the 45–70 % range. About two-thirds of these cancers happen in males (because of the strong connection to alcohol and smoking).
