Abstract
Jeff Cann maneuvered the little red submersible with care. He took pride in his navigation of the alien sea. Of any sea. He envisioned himself as piloting with the same flair as a Michelangelo sculpted marble or a piece of Beethoven composed music: nuanced movement, conservation of power, graceful turns and gentle velocity changes.
