Abstract

Due to external pressures and challenges, Lia consolidated and solidified the Eden kingdom. Internal rifts, however, weakened the group. Due to her fervent evangelism, by sending Gabriel’s letters, announcements, and God’s revelation to various religious and political leaders, Lia was arrested again together with her secretary Andito. Like in the previous trials, some NGO activists, lawyers, and intellectuals defended her stance in the name of pluralism, religious freedom and tolerance. However, the MUI, supported by various radical and conservative groups, police and the government, prevailed, bringing Lia to the trial which lead to her second, and Andito’s first, imprisonment. Along with her increasing demand for authority, some devotees of the prophetic council disengaged from the group. The kingdom lost its power to stir public controversy.
