Abstract
Today, one of the essential tendencies is the interpretation of the modern world in the focus of the new cultural and social form that is postmodern. In general, postmodernism is interpreted as a breakaway from many cultural imperatives that form the basis of life in the West. To some extent, it proceeds from the idea that the modern does not justify hope. In this prism, the analysis of contemporaneity and the postmodern as two correlated paradigms that also to some extent oppose one another is actualized. “The local ” and “the global” act as two sides of the postmodern that change into each other. The postmodernist theory, cancelling the rational and common subject of the modernist theory, replaces it in the social and linguistic aspects of the fragmented subject. In this connection, we should note that postmodernism not only notes the fact that the contemporary culture has a diverse structure, but also suggests evaluating this diversity and pluralism as positive events.
