Abstract

This paper summarizes the results of a quantitative survey on the Austrian market of enterprise resource planning systems (ERP systems). In contrast to most other market reports this study gathered data from companies independently from ERP vendors and with a strong sample size. The sample size allows analyses regarding company size, region and sector. Additionally, special attention is given to implementation consultancies. The results show that the market shares differ from other European or global analyses. The information generated and market research carried out helps both, solution providers and companies in their strategic decision making process regarding target groups and ERP systems evaluations.
