Abstract

We have been considering the increasing significance of a more engaging and facilitating style of leadership in organisations as they face increasingly complex and volatile contexts. In doing this we have suggested that EI is becoming an increasingly important aspect of leadership in some contexts. We have then expanded this into the model of emotionally intelligent leadership that combines EQ with cognitive and managerial competencies (the LDQ model).
