Abstract

This work proposes a group tour tracking and gathering system to let tour leaders and travel agencies keep the tour organized and ensure their safety, and reassure the tourists. This system provides several important functions, including fast roll call, ease of congregation, and prevention of members’ involuntary separation from the group. We also design an algorithm for tourists to exchange and record their information. After they access to the Internet, they will send their information as well as the exchange information of other members to the database. Tourists will help each other to update the information, so that travel agencies and tour leaders can perform the tracking function.
