Abstract

Depending on legal jurisdictions, legislators deal with bribery in a very different way. The basis components of bribery as social construct will be unveiled. Believing that there are grey areas of morality within bribery issues is embracing a mythical mindset. Cassirer’s approach of myths could be used to unveil the basic structure of mythical beliefs. If the notion of grey areas of morality in bribery issues is a mythical idea, then strategies to fight corruption cannot remain the same.
