Inserting a Chest Drain: How to Do

Abstract

This chapter covers all aspects of chest drain insertion: localization of the skin incision, informed consent, positioning of the patient, instrument used, and which catheters to use for different indications. The procedure is described in detail and hazards are pointed out.
