Abstract

Voxelization is a frequently-used modeling method in rapid prototyping. This paper was aimed to come up a voxel-based method for STL model generated by CAD software. Mainly through solving process to study voxel data of intersection between lines and triangular patches. Experimental results show that the algorithm has better time advantage; especially for handling rule model, the algorithm of this paper can highlight the good applicability.
