Abstract

The field of coronary computed tomographic angiography (CCTA) has evolved dramatically with an ever increasing and robust evidence base to support its clinical utility in terms of an unparalleled diagnostic accuracy and effective risk stratification rivaling the more commonly applied, comparative stress imaging procedures. This chapter seeks to highlight the available high quality effectiveness evidence, including large observational and randomized trial data, that support the utility of CCTA as a valuable tool in the diagnosis of coronary artery disease.
