Pathology of Testicular and Penile Neoplasms

Abstract

Paratesticular tumors are uncommon, accounting for less than 10 % of intrascrotal neoplasms; most are benign and morphologically similar to their counterparts in other organs. In the presence of a paratesticular mass, the differential diagnosis must consider both tumorlike lesions and primary neoplasms. Not infrequently, metastases to the paratesticular region count as an additional diagnostic challenge in uropathology practice. This chapter provides a pathological synopsis of epithelial neoplasms and pseudotumors arising in the paratesticular region.
