Abstract

The objective of this book is to explore the relationship between chemistry content and the underlying history and philosophy of science framework. It is argued that this can facilitate conceptual understanding of chemistry concepts by high school and introductory university-level students. Furthermore, the chemistry curriculum itself shows that history of chemistry is “inside” chemistry, and this has led chemists to understand chemistry within a philosophical perspective.
