Abstract

The impact of the breaking of the Gondwanaland Supercontinent in the Lower Permian was the subsidence of the margin of the Indian crust and its stretching and followed by effusion of lavas in many sectors. The culmination of these phenomena was the opening of a new ocean the NeoTethys in the latest Upper Permian.
